Managing bid revisions and versions

Save bid versions before major changes. Roll back if needed. Compare versions side-by-side.

Big bids go through 5-15 revisions before submission. OmniTakeoff's bid-version snapshot lets you save a checkpoint at any milestone (kickoff, mid-pursuit, pre-submission) and roll back if needed.

Common workflow

  1. On the bid detail page, click 'Save version' before any major scope change
  2. Name the version with a meaningful label ('Pre-Addendum 3', 'Final review draft')
  3. Make changes; the live bid auto-updates
  4. If something goes wrong, click 'Compare to version X' or 'Roll back to version X'
Tip

Bid versions are also useful for variant pricing: save a version, edit it, then save the result as a different version to bid the same scope at different markup levels.
