Community

Where OmniTakeoff users actually talk to each other.

Slack, monthly meetups, LinkedIn, YouTube, GitHub discussions, office hours. We don't have a formal forum yet — we keep the community in the channels people already use.

Community guidelines

Four rules

Short list because trust is built fast and broken faster. Mods enforce all four.

  1. 01

Be specific about your trade + project type

Estimating advice that helps electrical doesn't always help mechanical. Lead with context.

  2. 02

    Share what didn't work, too

Failure modes are more valuable than wins. We learn from the calibration miss, the missed addendum, the typo that cost the bid.

  3. 03

    Anonymize customer data

Don't share project names, owner names, or specific dollar amounts that could identify a customer. We help redact if you forget.

  4. 04

    No promotional content

If you're a vendor, contractor, or service provider trying to sell to OmniTakeoff users, that's not what this community is for. Email partners@omnitakeoff.com instead.

Why a small community

Quality over scale

High signal

Every member is a working estimator, PM, or owner. Threads answer in hours, not days.

Direct access

Product + engineering are in the channels too. You're not talking to a community manager triaging emails.

Real benchmarks

Members compare bid throughput, defect rates, win-rate lifts on real numbers. Anonymized, but real.
