Inviting team members and assigning roles

Owner, Admin, Estimator, Accounting, Field — what each role can and can't do.

OmniTakeoff has 5 built-in roles. Permissions are granular — see the Permissions page in Settings for the full matrix.

Inviting

  1. Settings → Team → Invite member
  2. Enter the email and pick a role
  3. The invitee gets an email link valid for 7 days
  4. Once they accept, the seat is consumed

Role differences (high-level)

  • Owner — full access including billing
  • Admin — full access except billing
  • Estimator — full estimating, no org settings
  • Accounting — read-only on bids, full QuickBooks
  • Field — view assigned projects, export scope/BOM
